Join us as we explore the national and local landscape shaping the Pupil Premium agenda and consider how a strong school culture and shared ethos create the foundations for meaningful impact.

The session will include practical insights into the key components of an effective Pupil Premium strategy, with useful tools and resources to enhance your approach, while deepening your understanding of robust monitoring and evaluation – including the vital role of Governors.

The session also offers the opportunity to help shape a review/peer‑review process designed to support schools in evaluating impact.

Objectives:

  • To explore the national and local context, and policy agenda, in relation to disadvantaged pupils.
  • To understand the importance of school culture, principles and ethos.
  • To identify the key features of an effective, evidence-informed Pupil Premium strategy, exploring a range of supportive tools and resources.
  • To understand the importance of monitoring and evaluation, including the role of Governors.
  • To contribute to designing a review/peer review process to support schools to evaluate impact.
