Our Subject Champions are experienced and effective subject leaders of History, Geography
and Science from across Barnsley primary schools and academies.
Our Subject Champions will plan and deliver evidenced based termly subject network meetings
aimed at both subject leaders and teachers.

The session will focus on research informed practice in each subject.

Expected outcomes:
• Improved subject knowledge and pedagogical understanding of both subject leaders and
teachers
• Improved subject leadership builds stronger leadership capacity

Autumn Term – 23rd October 2024 – 4.00pm-5.30pm
Spring Term – 12th February 2025 – 4.00pm – 5.30pm
Summer Term – 21st May 2025 – 4.00pm – 5.30pm
