In the morning the briefings will be provided by DRB Schools and Academies Services Limited to
ensure headteachers are fully updated with the latest information from the Department for
Education, the ESFA, Ofqual and Ofsted.
Delegates will hear the latest advice on Assessment, Government issues, Funding, Leadership,
Early Years, Teaching, Pupils’ personal development and Inspection updates.
They will receive a weekly update summarising all the latest developments directly from DRB
Schools and Academies Services.
During the afternoon SAS will be taking delegates through the services available to headteachers
through the policy that all maintained schools (and some academies) have.
We know that in order for heads to look after their staff and pupils so that they can perform to their
best, heads need to invest in being the best version of themselves. This is why this policy is aimed at
supporting headteachers. SAS staff including the nursing team and Andy Mellor will be providing
you with ideas, strategies and support in not only supporting your wellbeing but also supporting
the wellbeing of your school community and there is strong evidence now that staff and pupils
who are the best version of themselves are more likely to fulfil their potential and produce better
outcomes in every sense.
We will keep you no longer than an hour after lunch so please do stay and have lunch and make
an investment in your wellbeing if only so that you can better support your staff and pupils.
