Take the Next Step in Your Career Working with Children

The Centre for the Children’s Workforce Foundation Degree is a flexible, two‑year programme designed for people who are already working with children and want to progress—without leaving their job. If you don’t yet have a degree but are ready to build your confidence, knowledge, and future career options, this course is designed with you in mind.

You’ll study alongside your role as part of a local cohort of professionals from across the children’s workforce, including schools, care, youth work, and family support. Learning is practical and closely linked to real‑life work, helping you apply new ideas and skills directly in your setting. With structured support from experienced tutors and a dedicated programme team, you’ll be supported to develop strong study skills—even if you haven’t studied for some time.

Delivered in partnership with the Centre for the Children’s Workforce and the University of East London, this foundation degree provides a recognised qualification and a clear pathway into further study and graduate‑level roles. It’s an opportunity to invest in yourself, strengthen your practice, and open doors to the next stage of your professional journey—while continuing to make a meaningful difference for children and families.
