Event details

We are very excited to welcome Rob Carpenter (CEO Inspire Partnership) to Barnsley. Rob has been commissioned by the Barnsley Schools’ Alliance to help shape an effective primary peer review model. All senior leaders are invited to join the initial session where Rob will share his experience of peer review and start to lay the foundations for a pilot project which will run during the spring and summer terms.

The first session aims to engage, inspire and clarify the opportunities and expectations of participants working within the peer review process. By the end of the session, you should have a good understanding of our direction of travel and understand the benefits of peer review as a school improvement and evaluation tool.  After the session, we will be asking schools to consider self-nominating for the pilot. We will be looking for 9 schools to work with Rob in 3 triads. Further information will be provided at the launch event. We would like to see all school leaders, from both LA maintained schools and Academy Trusts, at the initial event. Even if you later decide it’s not for you at this time, you will have a good awareness of how things are developing in Barnsley as the school-led improvement system moves into an exciting new phase. We look forward to seeing you all there!
