Working in partnership with Leeds Beckett University we provide high quality teacher training with the Alliance offering high quality teacher training to graduates across a range of Key Stages.
The partners are, all located within a 20-mile radius of each other within South Yorkshire. We offer the opportunity to work with dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing the best educational experience for future generations of young people. We believe that the School Direct route enables us to select the best candidates and to provide the best support.
All schools in the Alliance pride themselves on ‘growing their own’ and currently a significant proportion of the workforce trained in their current schools, either through the traditional PGCE route, the Graduate Teacher Training programme or more recently through School Direct. Of these, a sizeable majority are promoted point holders, up to and including at Senior Leadership level.

From 2017 we will be working with Leeds Beckett University on this innovative, exciting and high quality approach to Initial Teacher Training. Through it, graduates apply directly to schools to undertake their training as a teacher. This year-long, school based programme is devised and delivered by our Alliance schools.
Our Alliance is committed to providing the highest standard of education for the young people in our community of South Yorkshire. If you share our vision for education, we want to hear from you. We will provide training of the highest quality, delivered by outstanding practitioners and we aim to deliver a bespoke training package, which will make the most of your knowledge and skills.
You will be placed in two of the Alliance Schools and after a year’s successful
training, you will achieve a PGCE with QTS. As an Alliance, we are committed to
helping you develop professionally, by providing an extensive programme of
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as it is our aim to train the next
generation of outstanding teachers in the South Yorkshire area.
